The media uses the word Goddess to describe film actresses and super models, and some of these women truly are Goddesses – but looks and fame have very little to do with being a Goddess. A Goddess is a state of mind. It is the intention to be someone special – someone out of this world.
So what in our opinion makes a Goddess? Here are a few key ingredients:
1. Respects herself. She knows she is a Goddess and expects to be treated like one. I’m not talking super high maintenance, but someone who demands the respects of others by respecting herself. She will not let others step all over her. A strong, confident woman.
2. Respects others and the world around her. A Goddess would never be oblivious to the people or the environment around her. She genuinely cares for others and shows it. She will go out of her way to be kind and courteous of others.
3. Inspires others with her words. She uses her voice to speak kindly and do good. A goddess would never speak ill of others. Her words her kind, soft, and gentle. When she speaks, people listen.
4. She takes care of her spirit as well as her body. A Goddess understands that her body is a temple and needs to be nurtured and cared for. She takes pride in her spirituality and her sensuality.
5. She lives her life with love and grace. A Goddess is graceful and loving and never apologizes for speaking her mind and standing up for what she believes in.
What do you think, my fellow goddesses? What makes you a Goddess?
